4/20 ITM flush draw hand

Villian came to the table once we hit money with about 23k and has call/folded away a lot of his chips without seeing a showdown. Table has been fairly active but I've been able to steal in late position once about once a round.

I think you played the hand OK. What was your question?

The flop texture is sort of on the bad side of mediocre, since it may likely have hit his hand. Deciding to c-bet semi bluff this flop is probably debatable, but I'll let someone else comment on that - since I'm only mediocre and reading flop textures myself.

Otherwise, your turn bet is fantastic and we're certainly not folding this river getting 3:1

good play on all streets - if he made the flush he made terrible calls on flop, but specially on the turn as long as he hadn't TcJc or 6c7c.

main question in the turn bet. I tried to price out any random flush draw he might have but keep a weak K in. since the bet is effectively half of villian's remaining stack I wonder if I'm just better off pushing the turn since I'll likely get paid off anyway by any 2 pair/set and probably any strong K.

Dude, your bet DID price out random flush draws. It was fine. It makes it very incorrect for him to call with clubs and thus gives you tons of EV when he makes the mistake and calls with clubs.

Therefore, you should be very pleased you made a great bet and forced your villain to make a mistake. The reason winning players win is because they make decisions that allow their opponents to make -EV mistakes.

You did that.

He got insanely lucky after making a -EV decision that in the long run will net you tons of chips in equity.

Whatever.

I usually like it when my opponents call me with dominated hands.

The goal of a tournament is to get all of the chips in play and not just to survive. If you can get your opponent to call off chips when you have the nuts then you played the hand well
