Bad back, do they make massage things for your computer chair?

I love to play long sessions, but unfortunately i have a horrible back. Do they make things that turn your computer chair into a massage thing? It's a fairly normal computer chair.

Is this the right forum? Never been here before.

you can go to office max and find chairs with built in massagers or buy massage pads.

You can also exercise to make your back stronger.

The best thing to do is change position.

I have 3 different chairs - an Aeron, a "kneeling chair" and a swiss ball. Every half hour or so I swap out which one I'm sitting on.

The other important thing to do is move your arms. Any time you don't need them on the mouse/keyboard, move them down to your sids, or above your head.

Also you have to stand up at least once an hour.

I posted this in OOT but whenever I get a new desk I'm getting a "sit to stand" desk so I can stand up for a while and keep working.

To clarify, massaging will feel good and may alleviate short term problems, but does very little to prevent long term damage.

Are all these places whorehouses or are some of them legitimate massage places?

Getting a massage at one of those places is a huge bad beat. Only theBruiser could manage to do that.

i saw a kneeling chair at my girlfriends work, some new hippy girl brought it in. it hurts my shins after a bit, but i did notice it kept my back straight. it kinda grows on you.

Yeah, they're okay. They will destroy your body just like a regular chair if you sit in it for 8+ hours a day though. Like I said before you want to alternate positions as much as possible.

I've never been more comfortable or had a more healthy back than when I pulled in a lazy-boy under a high adjustable table and just played while laying down. My mouse was on a big pad in my lap(stadium blanket wrapped around a large coffeetable book) so I didn't get the wrist/elbow, shoulder discomfort you get from endlessly mousing with your hand or arm out sideways. The height and angle of everything was very adjustable, which made for ready changes and no discomfort whatsoever. If I was fat enough I probably woulda just said f*k it and let the fabric grow into my hide, it was so perfectly comfortable. Coming from a lifetime of back problems that were in the family, it was sweet relief. Not even a bad way to watch a movie, and great for game playing too.
