50PLO 6-max: AAXX 4bet preflop 44T board

I can't get this hand out of my mind because I'm not sure if I played this hand correctly. My thoughts are after each street. No read on villain.

PokerStars Pot-Limit Omaha High, $0.50 BB (3 handed)

Hero ($58.30) - on button
SB ($55.40)
BB ($52.65)

Preflop: Hero is Button with A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
Hero raises to $1.5, 1 fold, BB raises to $4.5, Hero raises to $13.75, BB calls $9.25.

My hand is screaming AAXX with my 3rd raise, but it is a pretty good AAXX hand. Although I have only gotten about 30% of my stack in the middle preflop, I have about a pot-sized bet left on the flop and am committed on almost any flop.

Flop: ($27.75) 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $13, ...

The only two hands I'm scared of are TTXX or 4XXX obviously.

I bet 1/2 the pot on the flop hoping to seem weak as an AAXX might normally bet pot here. If my opponent has TXXX or KKXX, he might call here depending if he is a donk. I realize that the only hand that would probably call me is a hand I am losing to.

A check might have been better to induce a bluff on the turn, but I didn't want a KQJ9 type of hand to get a free card to catch a wrap draw on the turn or a TXXX hand to get a trips. The pot was big enough at this point to take it down.

... BB raises to $38.9, Hero calls $25.90.

Uh oh. I'm probably way behind villain. Can I fold here getting 3 to 1 odds?

Results in white below. If you view them, please let me know how you feel he played the hand.

Villain had KK94ds. Did he play this hand badly preflop by re-raising out of the blind or his call of my 3rd raise oop? His c/r on the flop was good of course.

Just fold to the CR on the flop, this flop is drawless and your hanbd is face up. I think villans play is fine in a 3 handed game only because he was ds.

first of all, your aces not so much *pretty* good

secondly, i'd stick it in most of the time.
by the way, you cant bet 1\2 and fold to reraise here

There are worse AAXX hands, but there are also much better ones.

You mean you would bet the pot on the flop on most flops (such as this one)?

Would you bet on the flop here though?

Pot (or close) the flop. As played get it in, kind of a gross spot but you have close to half your stack in the middle.

I would play the hand the same way you played it. Potting the flop just ensures your opponent can never ever bluff (which is bad) so you will always get the money in bad. If he's a nitty bad player you can fold to the raise.

His play was very standard.
