villain unknown in hand 1:

UTG ($2.75)
MP ($9.10)
Hero ($26.15)
Button ($6.20)
SB ($18.90)
BB ($9.95)

Preflop: Hero is CO with 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
2 folds, Hero raises to $0.75, 1 fold, SB calls $0.65, BB calls $0.50.

Flop: ($2.25) 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players)
SB bets $1.5, BB folds

what is our plan for right here and the next two streets? is raise/fold a good play on the flop, or is calling down preferable with these stacks? or, are we willing to get it in on this flop?

hand 2:
FWIW, had only been heads up for 10 or so hands, and this is only the second hand he played in that time. the other he folded on a dry flop.

a raise is a two-bet. (the reason it's a 3-bet preflop, is that the blinds count as a bet)

Hand one you really have to raise that flop. The board is so drawy, and a million turns either beat you or scare villain. I wouldn't really getting it in on the flop on such a wet board.

Hand two I'd probably fold expecting to see QJ/QT/98 pretty often, but I'm generally a nit when faced with overbets so I could be wrong.

in hand 1 are we mainly looking to get it in against a combo draw? maybe a Ax of spades type of hand? is anyone else a little queasy about getting it in with bottom two on this flop?

If he shoved over my raise I wouldn't love it, but I'd still make the call. There's a bunch of flush draw + overcard hands, as well as 99-QQ trying to "protect their hand".
