ATs pf

I am very loose pf OOP and I'm trying to cut down (and it's cutting into my winrate!). Just curious what people do here as I thought it was kind of a tough spot.

UTG1 17/11/5 good solid reg makes it $8 w/ 100BB, folded to me in the BB with ATs.

-He doesn't call a reraise with worse
-His range for opening there is pretty tight, so his hands are weighted towards the top of his range
-I'm OOP versus a good solid reg

So I should prob fold?? Or what.

Re: ATs pf

fold. if UTG was terrible then maybe call/raise, but it's just too marginal oop vs a competent player.

I think you basically answered all your questions. Calling with a-10 is very bad oop against a tag.

Lets reverse the question just out of curiosity. If you're in position against same competent player with same holdings whats your play? Flat calling seems bad because we arent sure where we're at; however, re-raising also seems bad if hes a fairly tight regular. No worse hand is calling us in this spot.

flat calling, r/r and folding are all viable options if you are IP.

OOP I agree fold it majority of the time, however against certain players, with history, I can see calling has its merits.

calling is fine, as is folding...raising is meh.

Re: ATs pf

just fold and move on, with 3+ callers, (which is normal at these stakes), I would instacall, especially if SB calls.
