Poker Superstars III (4/2): actually interesting

Yes, I know that most of the jury has resigned to the fact that due to the esclating blinds in an hour, this devolves into a pre-flop tet-a-tet and nothing else.

However, the fourth episode tonight was actually interesting a) because there were a number or river suckouts, and b) there was actual post-flop action with chips still to play.

(Pardon the spoiler, but Moneymaker acquits himself rather well on a session where he didn't get any cards pre-flop and ran up against dominant hands in the few instances where he did.)

And,to those who have seen it already, Negranu does his best soft-shoeing to make it entertaining at the end.

Do you work for FSN? :-)

I didn't see it as interesting. Suck out city (which explains the outcome).

If by "fun" you mean agonizing.

The lineup of players was incredible: Forrest, Negreanu, Raymer, Lindgren, Moneymaker, and Matusow. Still, the show wasn't that interesting.

the problem with this show is, matusow gets 1 outed, and hes busto on the next hand. if there were more room for play, they could show the full extent of his blow up, and it woudl be great poker.

I actually don't mind this structure for these preliminary round games. Hopefully the round of 16 gives a little more play to whoever is left.

Postflop play is for donks, poker superstars go all in or fold every hand preflop!

Horrible boring show.

I hate how Howard and Chris pretend like it isn't a coin flipping contest and explain how everyone is making strategic raises.

Howard used to be really fat.
