$2500 to go anywhere with girlfriend, preferably somewhere warm/beachy

I'm using the pstars $2500 gift card, so its really more like $2000 or so because eplatium likes to rape you. (eplatium is the same as expedia.com except its thru a travel agent who doesnt know how to use a computer. the agent cant just search for flights/hotels like you can on the website, she has to do it the old fashion way. so dont ever buy these things. i was going to use it for a last minute trip but eplatium costed twice as much as expedia.com)

anywho, we are looking for someplace like virgin islands, dom rep, puerto rico, bahamas, etc. we went to hawaii (Waikiki) last jan but now we are thinking less built up. it shouldnt cost more than $2000 on expedia.com and we dont want to have a rent a car or anything because we are only 22. thanks.

My gf and I are both 23 and last year we went to St. Maarten in January ( Trip Report here , somehow i deleted all the pics )

We loved it, and renting a car wasn't a problem, no extra fees or anything. Tiny little island, so easy to get around by car. There is literally like 3 roads, so you'll have it mastered after a day or two. Some casinos, great restaurants, awesome beaches, etc.

Have you looked into the all-inclusive resorts in the Mexican Riviera? Sounds like you might really like the carefree, no wallet, no rental car, etc.

My wife and I have stayed at several in and around Playa del Carmen.
