looking to stake people part 3

so a few other mid/high players and i want to start staking and coaching people for various limits and games. post in this thread what you would like to be staked for and some pt screenshots/graphs of prior playing. we are looking to stake quite a few people, but we might start off somewhat slowly. so even if you arent contacted right away dont worry, your chances are pretty good if you can prove that youre intelligent and have potential.

so yea, go ahead and impress me!

I play UB blackjack. My method is to double the bet if I lose. I start with a 5$ bet. If I win I restart at 5$. It's a foolproof system and I have taken UB for about 50k so far. But I lost 50k playing poker there because it is rigged. I need more money so please stake me.

I'd like to be staked. I'm not really sure what I want to play, but I'm goofyballer, and I'm awesome at everything I do, except hit on girls, so that speaks for itself as far as credentials go.

been playing micros and small stakes for a while. just started playing to support myself during school. so far so good. very good emotional control and im playing better than i ever have. would probably be at small/medium if not for omaha, which i'm done playing. mostly play cash, but i have around a 100% roi in mtts.
'
i dont have many hands on this computer. i can post a graph if you want, or you can wait until monday night.

a. win at 5ptbb/100 over 250k hands at both 100NL and 200NL and at 3.5 ptbb/100 at 400NL over limited sample
b. am Canadian
c. would play 60k hands/month (nearly double what I already play) at a reduced but guaranteed rate (i.e. staked):

my hourly at 100NL (w/o RB) is ~$50/hour. paying me $40/hour (with me keeping RB) is a free $10/hour x 120 hours/month = free $1200 bucks/month! at 200NL this nearly doubles! that's over 2 grand a month, free! that's almost 10 grand!

d. pretty smart and cool guy

stake me at 200/400. 4 buyins and worse that can happen is we lose 160k, and if I run hot I can make MILLIONS.

Re: looking to stake people part 3

I don't play nosebleed stakes but I think i can have a decent winrate within the 100-200NL range. As that's what you are looking to stake within.

When Party was still around i grinded the 25NL for about 2-3 months playing 74k hands running at 11.65ptbb/100.
http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i5...5NLkingpt1.jpg
http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i5...5NLkingpt2.jpg

i know this is old stuff and it's 25NL so it's not that hard to do.
i also got first in this old tournament
http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i5...1212/first.jpg

fast forward to full tilt.

i havn't played as much as i did on full tilt ever since party went down. here are some screen shots to how i did.

http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i5...12/stats-1.jpg

it's nothing big, but those are the hands i've played online. i play a lotta live. this year has been ok with live as i have learned a lot and consider myself a decent live player.

http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i5...212/stats2.jpg

as you can see, variance is my name. the past 2 months have been pretty rocky. but this month, things are going pretty well. again, i don't play nosebleed stakes but i feel i am a winning player at the stakes i play.

i have also won 2 35k guarantees on full tilt in the month of december in 2006.
http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i5...2/iamking2.jpg

http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i5.../1stagain1.jpg

what happened to the money you ask? well i withdrew everything, except for 6k which is stuck in neteller.
i bought a car and spent a lotttta money, car insurance, taking family out to dinner all the time, giving money to my mom and my brother, etc, etc. not to mention the fact that i don't always win at live games. before, when i lost going to the casino, it was always 600-1200 dollars because of my atm card. i don't have a job right now so all i do is spend money. which resulted in me not having any money online, and about 4k to play cash games.
i do have rakeback and remember averaging 15 dollars an hour 6 tabling 200NL.

i never really posted a lot, but here are the posts i did.

here

actually i thought i had more, i guess thats the only one.
i know 2 threads that are talking about me but not that big.

considering the following, i would be able to put in as many hours as i can because i don't go to school right now or have a job. im a live small stakes grinder, playing 300NL and the occasional 2/5 300min 1000max with the right players. if you were to choose me, i will not let you down =].

i don't need or want a stake but after looking at your summer graph i'd love to be coached.

i've played with you a bit on ftp at 400nl. i had a terrible breakeven stretch in august for like 40k hands of 6max and hu but in july i ran something like 3-4 ptbb/100 over a largeish sample (july was my first month at msnl)

im definitely nothing great but believe im a good player and just need to plug a few leaks.

Re: looking to stake people part 3

No real need to be staked but if you can help me become an awesome HU player i'd be down for some kind of profit sharing in exchange for coaching. If you see potential and want to stake me for higher than my regular stakes (100nl) then thats up to you.

I have all the time in the world to dedicate to any coaching regime if you guys decide to go with me. Heres my last month and a halfs results.

http://img398.imageshack.us/img398/4397/resultsvi2.jpg

Not sure if you guys are looking for 6 max players but i'd like to focus my attention on getting better at HU cash.

Re: looking to stake people part 3

Don't really know what to expect to come of this, but here are my PT stats since april 1st

The one hand at 25/50 was obv a flip I run infinite bad at.

I know in the stars regs thread I had the 4th highest WR at 1/2 on stars, but I went on super bad lifetilt and dropped like 11k at 2/4 and cashed out 7k to pay for fall tuition. I'm back at 5/1 busto stakes I'm more or less interested in the coaching, but if I could make the same amount at 2/4 (even giving half my winnings away) I'd at least be getting the coaching for essentially free and the stakers get some compensation out of it.
http://img208.imageshack.us/img208/5...pril1stiy4.jpg

Oh yeah here was my daily graph.

Re: looking to stake people part 3

Never thought I would respond to one of these, but I'm in the most frustrating situation right now!

Anyway here's the lowdown...

I've been playing poker for about 2 years now, and about 18 months online. I received a free $50 from Party back then and have never deposited since. I had won ~$15000 (after making withdrawals along the way) up to 6 months ago at which point I was a 5PTBB/100 winner at stakes up to NL400. I then withdrew all but $1000 to pay for a 1 month trip to the US with a friend. After returning I have been at uni and have not had an income at all. For the past 4 or 5 months I've been living off my credit card while playing poker online. At the end of each month when my credit card bill comes up I withdraw the $1000 or so I need and pay it off, a hugely low EV idea but its all I can do right now! Basically this has resulted in grinding 50NL and more recently 100NL, for a painful amount of time!

I've been a consitently winning player and feel I can beat the games at up to NL400 pretty solidly with my current level of play, but unfortunately I never leave myself with enough cash online! I ALWAYS want to learn more and have a bunch of friends who I discuss poker with regularly (most are winning players at NL400 and above). Ultimately I would love an oppurtunity to start making some real money!

Here's my last 10000 hands:

http://img391.imageshack.us/img391/5...00handscw7.jpg

I run at 22/17 and am currently playing on Full Tilt (but am Australian so I'm thinking about getting back to Party...)

Re: looking to stake people part 3

I'm looking for a stake right now. I think I can play up to 3/6 profitably with guidance from MSNLers. I dual site (FTP and stars). Right now I'm at 1/2 due to a bad run at 2/4.

On FTP, I'm GimmeYourCandy, and on stars I'm CantChoose. I've been called decent in the past, and I really think I have a good solid fundamental understanding of poker.

I just don't want to grind 1/2 atm just to get a roll for 2/4, and I figure that if I might as well improve my game while building a roll, and that's why I want to do this - I figure I can't improve while I'm playing 200NL.

I also believe that my rep here will ensure that I will go through all transactions quickly and hasslefree, and I have a couple of references if you need them.

Thanks.

or just stake me to play grimm, he'll probably play me and we all know that's +EVV

Rebel88 09-02-2007 03:26 AM

Re: looking to stake people part 3

I've been a consistent winner for the past 3 years, 1 of which was at the 500nl over about 120k hands.

I'm now grinding the 50nl because I cashed out the majority of my roll to put a downpayment on a condo. I'd add my PT stats and graph if you told me how, cause I have no clue; however I don't have a sample greater than 16k cause the site I used to play on was True Poker and PT doesn't support it.

But if you're interested in staking me I could email you my transaction history from the site showing my earnings of more than 50k at 500nl.

I'd love the opportunity cause I wanna kill myself playing so low again, but my priority was to buy property and my roll suffered as a result. This would be a great way for you to give a winning player a shot to rebuild his roll quickly and make some good $$$ in the meantime.

ps. I know I'm new to this site and don't have much clout but I used to play quite a bit with thaaj (don't know if you know him) on True Poker back in the day at the 500nl under the name Atlantis000, he now plays 5knl on FT and has more posts here and I'm sure he would vouch for my dominance on True Poker if need be.
I'm also interested in the coaching aspect, cause I'm always looking to improve and patch whatever holes I have in my game.

PM me if you think I'd make a good candidate or need more info

Re: looking to stake people part 3

I'd be interested in this for sure. Just recently moved up to 2/4 NL, it's going well but I think to get to 5/10 and 10/20 will take some work.

Here's the last few months, mostly NL 100 and NL 200, with a failed shot or 2 at 2/4 (although I think I'm up for good now.) Am planning on getting in 40-45k hands / month through the end of the year (did that in May and June but July and August I was travelling all over):

http://img299.imageshack.us/img299/2033/graph1sv5.jpg

http://img266.imageshack.us/img266/7443/statsqy8.jpg

Oh, also my new 2/4 stats are in a new db. I'm up pretty solid but it's not a significant sample size.

Re: looking to stake people part 3

I'm a successful limit player who just started playing NL. I'm doing well so far at 100NL, but only have 7K hands under my belt (up a little over 10 buyins). I've got a decent bankroll already, but with coaching and a stake the process would be greatly accelerated and beneficial for us both.

Re: looking to stake people part 3

I just graduated, I can't get a real job because I have to stay on my parents insurance to get my corneas replaced because I have an eye condition blah blah. I can see fine out of one eye, and that's how I can play online poker, vision isn't a big deal when you are nice and safe in front of a computer.

I cashed out my roll to buy a new computer in the middle of the summer when my dell went busto. Per standard cashout curse, busto of leftover funds soon followed. Stopped playing my standard nl25 and nl50, and tried to grind a roll back up from the uber micros, which is doable but [censored] tedious and I am about to lose my mind.

I am a winning player and I am a bankroll nit. I am not a risk for going busto because I am like a young barry greenstein and I can quit when I know I am not playing optimally.

Until my surgery in a month, I am not working, so I have pretty much all day to do nothing but read and play poker. After surgery, I will be stuck in front of my computer for another few months, so all this time could be spent earning monies at poker.

During the summer I was 4 tabling 6-max, and kinda found that to be most comfortable. I'm full ring proficient as well, but I prefer 6-max or HU. Recently I've been wasting my time playing micro sng, my roi is like 25% or something but that is meaningless because a ferret could beat micro ftp players.

So yeah, just need a stake for nl25/nl50 which is the highest I'd feel comfortable accepting a stake for. I lost most of my old hh on the dell, and I have about 3 months worth on the new macbook pro. Haven't picked up bootcamp to install PT yet so I don't have graphs and stuff, but I could send hh I have or we could work something else out. TY for your consideration, and please PM me if you need any further details, which I'm sure you do.

Re: looking to stake people part 3

i am really interested in coaching for multitabling 200 nl or 400nl. Ive been a winner playing live mainly for the past 2 years or so, mainly 2-5nl but sometimes 5-10 and 10-20. ive played on fulltilt and ultimate bet a lil bit but never put enough money on to have a sufficient bankroll.

thanks

fitnessfreak 09-02-2007 03:48 AM

Re: looking to stake people part 3

i could be interested in a staking deal for stakes 3/6 and 5/10nl (and above obv ). i consider my biggest leak to be dealing with variance, but aside from that i would say that i could learn to beat those games pretty fast with a bit of work and some guidance. i think i would be a good candidate for this idea as i would like to move up in limits and i think i can def learn to beat them, but doing it this way will help make it an easier transition and i can focus on playing well instead of worrying about the inevitable big swings.

i took up online poker seriously in February. Got a new computer sometime in april and have my results since then at 1/2 and 2/4nl. i have recently started to tweak my style a bit, specifically loosening up a bit preflop and lowering my overall AF slightly. i have changed my party sn and dont really want to reveal it for now.

i play on Party pretty much exclusively fwiw. anyone who might be interested in organising something plz PM me and we can have a chat about it. i would only be interested in doing this kind of thing for stakes higher than 2/4, although i am happy to start off there just to demonstrate that i dont suck.

edit: oh and btw, i am playing poker full time atm and am willing to put in a LOT of time and effort to improve. i am getting much better at tilt management so i think i would prove to be a very worthwhile investment

I want to get staked for donkaments. I play MSNL now but I used to play SNGs on Party (see PT stats below). I feel that my knowledge of ICM from SNGs and the hand reading skills I've developed playing MSNL have made me a pretty well-rounded player. I think my MTT ROI in the long run would be >50%.
