QJs - 3 barrels OOP vs a 2p2er -- -- -- TWICE LOL!

<font color="blue"> villain is a LAGish 2p2er, GR33D1982 on stars if you know him. He runs ~26/22/3 most of the time, and was maybe a tad loser this session. He steals blinds a ton, and was doing so &gt; 50% of the time. Pretty aggro post flop, havent seen him ever showdown a big hand that he slowplayed.
I had been starting to play back a little, 3 betting his steals attempts several times the last several orbits vs him, or calling from the blinds and ch/r'ing lots of flops. this is the first time i had ever donked into him.
we hadnt been in any big pots tho and hadnt really seen anything get past the flop vs each other.

I was running ~25/20 this session and had been playing super aggro vs the donks at our tables, but not as much vs villain until just recently (we were on 2-3 tabls together)

i don't get it. do you want to know if the different river cards change anything?

I think he is calling a lot, so I like the first hand better. I think he is calling a lot because you have air a lot of the time, since your line doesn't make much sense - however, there isn't much you could be semibluffing with. If you think he has a hand like TT or A9, then I like it, but if you are trying to fold a K I don't.

the river card obv does change a lot of things. hand 1 i hit a gutshot to the nuts, hand 2 i have Q high.
so which hand do you like better, or neither, or both?
would you play either hand different?

based on your description, it seems like you're playing back at him often, so I don't like your double lead out here w/air because he's most likely gonna look you up w/air.

as played, hand 1, it seems like he has some sort of hand. if he is the type to value bet light, then i think i'd c/r all in.

hand 2 i'd give up.

On hand 1 I CRAI here because your line looks bluffy and villain probably will valuebet a LOT of the hands he will call with here IMO. And a CRAI here looks "weird" enough that I think you even get a call often.

On hand 2, as I said, I think you get called a lot here by hands and when you check I think he is valuebetting a lot. I just straight up give up, but i'm too much of a postflop nit so I don't know if my thoughts are worth anything here.

i would give up in hand 2 on river

also i would c/r the flop

if you've been c/r'ing a lot of flops, you should probably c/r this one

but after he calls flop/turn he's prob not folding river. so play river according to that info

Re: QJs - 3 barrels OOP vs a 2p2er -- -- -- TWICE LOL!

anyway this thread kinda failed but i was trying to demonstrate a commonm misconception that is repeated over and over in SSNL:

poeple love to say "bet your monsters exactly the same way you would bet your bluffs" but in reality thats not always neccessary and definitely not always the most profitable way to play hands. if villain will fold a majority of his range to a certain line or certain sized bet, then there is always a line/betsize that can ezxtract more value vs that range UNLESS we have perfect bluff:valuebet frequencies.

anyway in the actual hand i was planning to 3 barrel this guy from the beginning if he just called the flop, becasue i knew his calling range was mostly TT-QQ, and weaker Kx.
the actual river was a Td, but in my FFPS induced delirium i saw it as a complete blank, fired hard again. and was ecstatic when villain tanked and folded. i only realized that i did indeed have the nuts when i reviewed the hand after my session in poker tracker. and yes, i felt really stupid
