river checkraise bluff

Party 10/20 6 max

Button is agro donk.

Folded to btn who raises. hero calls with black 33 in sb, bb folds.

Flop is K72 with 2 hearts. Check, bet, call. Turn, Kc. Check bet call. River 7s. Check, bet, raise.

Comments on all streets appreciated.

well, i think an "agro donk" bets and calls A high on the river, so that sucks. i dunno about Q high but i can imagine a call, and hopefully he folds J high.

im not doing any math but i really dont see a 2 bb investment worth it to try to fold out what seems to be not a huge part of his range.

also, he may call with 3-pair with 55 and scoop, which would be a little embarrassing.

btw i sometimes bet/call the turn against players who are overaggressive.

He's obv. never folding A high or better, so long as you know this and still think it's ok then w/e.

I dont think he is both betting and folding enough to risk two bets here.

I was kind of thinking the opposite: conditional on him betting when checked to, we might have enough FE. Even an agro donk is often happy to check A high behind here.

I don't think it's going to work quite often enough to turn a profit.

i dont think he'll ever fold an ace here, prolly a king most of the time...bluffing on rivers is overrated, especially c/r bluffing against aggros who dont know how to fold. if you really want to take this pot on the river, might as well bet

Or you could, I dunno, just raise the turn.

I like the play even if with the way you have played the hand you have no read. I don't think he can fold A high but surely a pocket. For that reason i think that it can be a good play.
