What do you think of paying somebody for tips in sports betting?

A friend of mine said that a tout website is very good. They charge a fee to give tips to sports bet. I haven't done any sportsbetting so far. I just wanted to know what do you think of paying a place to give tips, and if you know how good they are?

They charge $725, but a couple of friends and me were going to put up the tab in conjunction to pay much less.
Is this a good idea?

I would imagine even if Doc's was correct 65% of the time, you'd have to bet TONS of games for you to make that $700+ back.

Well ,it is more like 90 dollars back, because, as I mentioned some friends and I would put up the money then share the tips among ourselves.

Enrique,

Has it ever crossed your mind that you are stealing?

Look at some evidence of the web sites record the last few years before you pay for anything. If you feel comfortable they are going to win long term, then paying isn't a bad idea.

Figure out how often you're going to bet, how much per bet, etc. to calculate whether it's worth the $90.

For me and many others though, part of the fun of sports betting is picking the games yourself and seeing whether you can beat the juice. I'd truly recommend that you take 1 year at least (say...this season) and bet your own picks, at a dollar amount you can afford, and keep track of your wins and losses closely. Then decide at the end of the year whether or not you need to pay for picks in future seasons if you want to keep betting sports.

I do know lots of people that pay for picks though.

BTW...no one is going to pick 65% correct so ignore that one guy.

Thanks for the advice.
Actually, I did compute some numbers and came to the conclusion that it wasn't worth 90 dollars.
If for 16 weeks (NFL season), I gamble $110 a week, I would win $88 dollars (Assuming 55% which from what I hear is a reasonable number). $88 is short of $90.

enrique-

follow fezzik (fezziks place) for free. i truts him in the NFL enough to bet my normal wager size and even though i am leery of his CFB bets, the size of your bet in relation to the bonuses you should be hustling will make anything he recommends a money maker.

at $100 a game you shouldnt be paying for anything.
