25NL vs 50NL vs 100NL

I was wondering if anyone has played all of these limits and have any input on the level of poker being played at each limit. Is there a big difference in skill level of the average player in 25NL vs 50NL vs 100NL? Do all these limits pretty much play the same? Any input would be greaty appreciated.

Thanks

25NL seems to have a lot of regulars but also seems to be the level that first-time players occasionally pop up in. 25NL is generally passive. Many of the more aggressive players have problems playing aggressively, mostly from having no brakes. Most of the regulars, rather than pushing the action, instead seem to sit back, setmine, and take advantage of inferior players' mistakes. Not a lot of blind-stealing. Lots of limping. Some will play anything suited and if they fourflush a flop, they will chase it all the way.

50NL really is not much different than 25NL. A little more blind stealing. Slightly more aggressive play.

I think at 100NL you can find players who comparatively play well positionally. Much more stealing and re-stealing. It is far more likely at 100NL than at 25NL that people are actually paying attention to what you are doing. For the most part, I'd say that the average 25NLer is in a coccoon playing only his cards.

Just my two cents.

At the same time, a lot of players move around in levels based on the time of day...

$25-everybody sucks including regulars
$50-regulars are slightly better and more aware but easily beatable.
$100-there are actually decent regs but the majority still suck. people size their preflop and postflop bets better(not as much minraising or 1/4 pot betting).

I have played all 3 levels and I think there actually is quite a difference between them.

I have the least amount of experience at 25NL, but it seemed pretty straight forward with plenty of loose players to pay off.

I have more hands at 50NL than any other and it is a bit more challenging compared to 25NL. The players are tighter, though not really more agressive. Usually when you get played back at people have a hand, but it's easy to play a little LAGgier than at 25NL and have a bit more fun. You don't often run into tricky players and raising limpers and 3betting light is not the norm. In fact, 3betting is KK+ about 75% of the time, and when it isn't it's most likely AK. When players DO raise (as in after the flop) they usually don't raise enough, and if YOU raise enough you'll often get people to chase their draws without the odds.

at 100NL you finally start running into a higher level of aggression. There are a few more smart TAGs who will take shots at you if you get out of line too often, there is a lot of raising limpers light, though 3betting light still doesn't happen very often. Also at 100NL you start getting raised more meaningful amounts that will deny your odds of chasing a lot of draws and people stop calling your odds denying bets as much.

Well said ^^.

The main change IMO is more aggression and people putting you to the test more often as you go up in levels. Be prepared to be punished for limping in too much and chasing draws and such whereas 25nl players will bet 25 cents and practically let you draw for free.

From what I've experienced, 25NL and 50NL play pretty much the same. 100NL players seem to be better/more aggro on average from what I've seen, but I just started taking shots so my exerience there is limited.

This is true. There's some adjustment as the games get more aggressive, but the regs at NL100 are still exploitable.
