Set of 7\'s

I'm at work so I don't have the hand history, but I'm only interested in the flop, so the hand history is fairly simple.

25NL on PokerStars with 6 players. No reads on any players because I just sit down at the table.

I'm dealt two red 7's in MP. UTG limps in. I raise to $1, the button calls, UTG calls.

Flop is Q, 10, 7 all spades. UTG is short stacked and goes all-in for $4.25. I call the $4.25 (my stack is around $25). Button, whose stack is also around $25 then raises and goes all-in, making it $21.75 for me to call

What's my play?

Call. Hope your hand holds up against what is probably AQ and QT/KJ. Take yourself out back and beat the hell out of yourself for calling and not re-raising all-in when you had the chance.

Raise UTG's shove.

As played, call.

you definitely should be raising UTG's shove on a monotone board.

flat-call preflop, raise post-flop

I agree with the posters who said that I should have raised all-in on the flop. After the hand was over, I was sure I had played the hand badly on the flop, but I wanted to see what others would say.

FWIW the button had flopped a flush, and the board didn't pair so I lost the hand, but that's just poker. What upset me is my poor play on the flop.

BTN has a hand. He can't bluff since one player is all-in. You fill up about 1/3 of the time. The pot odds are 1.7:1. It's a fold unless you think that villain might do this with a combo draw or 2pair often enough. But it's VERY marginal.

Re: Set of 7\'s

I don't think I fold, even though its likely button has a big hand because as Spurious said I think As+ a pair is a big part of buttons range.
That being said, you should have raised UTG shove. You're way ahead of ashortstack's range here, and giving the button good odds to call behind with just a big spade is a disaster. Push over UTG.
