I was hoping 2 pair (or less likely an over pair). I realize that with bottom set there isn't much that I can beat, but given the level of competition I'm not sure if my play was correct. What do you think? |
Re: should i have laid this hand down?
Probably fine with no reads to go with it.
Next time set the converter to target 2+2 forums and it will turn out right. |
Re: should i have laid this hand down?
I didn't really have much to go on...hadn't been at the table too long.
Sorry about the format, I'm new.. Thanks for the advice! |

Re: should i have laid this hand down?
It's good to know I didn't play it terribly, thanks.

It's good to know I didn't play it terribly, thanks. He flopped nut straight with 10 8. [/ QUOTE ] You played it right. He will have a straight or flush draw a lot more often than a made straight, and you still have a 35% chance of filling up by the river even when you're beat. |
Re: should i have laid this hand down?
Don't fold unless you see his cards. So, never.

Re: should i have laid this hand down?
i was thinking that i had a chance of filling up even if he flopped the nuts...
so the standard play when you flop a set on an average board is to move in with out much hesitation? |

[/ QUOTE ] You can fold 77 to a reraise if the board is: 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] |
Re: should i have laid this hand down?
Ok...that's more or less what I meant.
Thanks for the advice! |
