Pokerstars 5,400 FPP sng satellite to the Sunday Million

Has anyone here played these? 10 person sng, entry 5,400 FPP's, top 4 advance to the Sunday Million.

If you qualify, can you unregister from the Sunday Million and take the t money?

Thanks.

everyone says they are a very good value, and filled with people who don't play the sng's well.

I myself have run very bad in them, but you can cash out T$ if you get a seat. If you do well in sng's, they're good.

Apparently I do not.

They seems to have pretty high variance, but good value imo.

yes, I much prefer cash games, but I started out playing sng's, so I may give it a shot.

Honestly, if you don't earn many FPPs and it takes you a long time to save up 5,400 FPPs, I would use them on something else. Otherwise, if/when you lose one of these sngs, it's going to tilt you because you'll be thinking "[censored], it took me 2 months to save up those FPPs and now I have nothing to show for it."

On the other hand, if you earn them quickly, you'll get long-term value out of them by playing enough to minimize the effects of variance that you feel.

high variance?
4 out of 10 get a seat.
I mean, yeah you can go 10 straight and only win 1 or 2 i guess. But I really don't think this structure is high-variance.

If it was instead 1 in 10 wins $860 or 1 in 20 wins $1720 or something like that then I would view them as high variance.

They are definitely different types of SNG's though and some interpretation of situations needs to be undertaken.
It's not just about your specific EV on a particular hand when on the bubble. It's about reading the whoe situation. Even if you are shortest stack it can sometimes be prudent to wait and see if someone else decides to go crazy with AQ and knock themselves out.
Obviously getting a monster chip-lead has far less value than in most tourney situations because 4th place pays the same as 1st.

Maybe I've just run well in the handful of these that I've played and that will inevitably lead to cockyness and that I've somehow figured them all out completely.
But there have been very few of these that I've played where I've considered the field to be 'tough'. Lots of mistakes, that probably aren't so terrible in a regular SNG but really stick out in the different pay-structure of these SNG's.

good point.
I typically get over 5400 FPP's more days than not.
If 5400 FPP's represents a month's worth of effort for you then definitely consider spending them on something else.
FWIW - a lot of the scheduled FPP and FPP rebuy satellite tourneys probably have good value and you can get either T$ or W$ out of those.

And if you really want to low-roll some FPP SNG's there are always the 70FPP single-table sat's to win a T$11 to the Hundred-Grand.

I love these things since I rule at coming in 4th in SNG.
