Quitting smoking weed. Please help!

Hi guys. Since there are so many smokers here it seems like I thought I would post this in OOT.

I have smoked bud for 12+ years daily. Lots of it. Over an eighth a day, and many days more like a quarter or more. I have not gone more than a week without smoking (vacations, etc.) since I started.

I decided that this was pretty retarded (please, let's not debate whether I should quit or not, it's obvious to me I should.)

So, I am on Day 36 of cold-turkey not smoking. I feel like absolute [censored]. I want to punch everyone I see. Pretty much every little thing is pissing me off big time. I can't concentrate and I feel very depressed. I've been road raging at everyone on the streets.

Please tell me these feelings will go away eventually. I read that it takes 70 days for everything to clear out of my system. I don't want to do it any more, like I'm not fiending for it at all, I just feel awful physically and mentally.

I also smoked cigarettes but quit those well over 3 years ago. Quitting weed is very similar I think, although I think I might feel worse quitting pot.

Please share your experiences with quitting smoking ganga and reassure me I will feel better not smoking dope eventually than I did smoking dope. Thanks very much.

This is not a troll post or anything. I'm serious. I didn't want to post this under my real account. Thank you guys.

I moved back in with my parents. That took care of it.

You don't feel the way that you feel because of dope. Find out why you really feel like puching people and hating life. 70 days for it to leave your system is just dumb. It's gone from your system, it's all you now.

haha.

Dude, I'm pretty impressed you're on day 36. You'd be a nut to quit now. I'm sure you're through the hardest part.

I agree with the dude saying get professional help. If 70 days is the break point, do what it takes to get there.

Post in this thread everyday to keep us updated. You've come a helluva long way to day 36. You are probably in the thick of the pain right now, so realize that and don't let it beat you.

I was under the impression that there's very little physical withdrawl from weed??? After that much time I'm pretty sure you just dont remember what your normal personality is. You were probably a very frustrated person who was self medicating with weed. Someone said to start drinking but I'd amagine that's the worst idea ever because if you feal like punching everyone right now, you'll probably follow through on it drunk.

I guess I dont have any real advise other then maybe try and get a lot of excersise to try and calm yourself down.
