I prefer bet/fold turn on hand 1. As played check/fold river vs him. He's pretty nitty if I remember correctly.

Hand 2 looks good. I'm tempted to raise small on the river cause it looks like you have the best hand, but the risk/reward ratio is meh.

Hand 1 is good assuming you plan on calling most river bets. I think hand 2 is played fine with the limited read you have on what I assume is an unknown pretty much.

Hand 1: I'd probably c/c turn, then lead the river.

Hand 2: I actually like a river min-raise here.

Please do not check fold. Either bet/fold or check/call is fine.
