is 1274 a good price? (serious Q. i have no idea what it usually goes for)...still seems high, considering u can get a couple of 20" 1600x1200 mons for $300 / each which will give u more desktop space w/o the need for a special vid card.

Heck, I even just picked up a couple 24" 1920x1200 monitors for $400 / eeach.

at first, i think, u had to haggle with dell to get them to come down from the initial price of $2100 or so...for the most part, i think these were going for 1500ish, but that was a few months ago

Where did you find 1920x1200s for $400? That sounds like a bargain.

keep ur eye on bensbargains.net -- they were advertising a 1920x1200 at Circuit City for just $300 last wk, but they went fast apparently. I got mine for $400 (+tax, but no shipping) at CompUSA the other day (heard about sale from bensbargains.net though)

Yeah in '04-'05 we used to have a new thread on here every time the dell 2001FP went on sale - so you didn't really have to bargain hunt at all.
