Why does Mario get listed as a series but FF, MGS, Resident Evil, Zelda, Street Fighter, GTA, etc don't. They should have to pick one. I'd probably go with SMB1 because it's pretty much responsible for saving videogames from the crash. Arguments could be made for SMB3 or Mario 64 too.

I think Civilization II, Chrono Trigger, and Doom deserve consideration for top 10. Halo and RE4 don't belong there.

I assume there was a 1 game per franchise rule which is why FF3/6 and LoZ:LttP didn't make it.

on the show, they didn't say 'mario brother series'

the specified super mario world and mario 64..i got that list from a post on gametrailers.com

still, I don't see why they went two games instead of one..

If I had to pick a top game..I'd probably go with SMB3
