By far the dumbest thing Les Miles did was not go for two following the td, the playcall was fine, even if Les Miles didn't use the same game theory reasoning we can after the fact to justify it.

Lousiville has 4th and 2 on their own 20 with 1:53 left in the half and the clock running. Pitt lets the clock run down to 1:30, then calls their 2nd timeout.

Now with 3rd and 18 on their own 40 and about 45 seconds left, they let the clock run down to 25 and then call timeout with about 12 seconds left on the playclock. Wannstedt going ballistic throwing stuff in the coaches' booth. Pitt comes back out and throws an 8 yard out pass to the sideline, then punts.
