Very deep rivered 2nd nuts 10/20

Villian in this hand is slightly loose and bad at 24/12. I don't have much play vs him but he will stack off lightly with 100bb's. I've been playing very loose and aggro at probably something like 31/22. I've been very active so far.

Full Tilt Poker, $10/$20 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 6 Players
LeggoPoker.com - Hand History Converter

MP: $2,000
Hero (CO): $5,405
BTN: $4,114.50
SB: $3,218
BB: $5,953
UTG: $2,257

Pre-Flop: T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] dealt to Hero (CO)
2 folds, Hero raises to $70, 2 folds, BB calls $50

Flop: ($150) 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 Players)
BB checks, Hero bets $120, BB calls $120

Turn: ($390) 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 Players)
BB checks, Hero checks

River: ($390) T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 Players)
BB bets $320, Hero raises to $1,350, BB raises to $2,980

It will be 2200 MORE if I decide to shove

Re: Very deep rivered 2nd nuts 10/20

If he's playing a set of Queens this way, then he can probably play sets of sevens or fours this way.

I'll probably flip a coin and but slightly end up on the shoving side.

HEK, you know everyone is going to say shove, so maybe you could include reasons for why you might not?

personally i have read the hand a bunch of times and unless I'm still missing something I don't see why you're not already planning what to buy with your new $5500. maybe a watch or something?

I also figure everyone will come out and say lolol shove wtf zomg!!! I think there are very good arguments for shoving and calling that are interesting to discuss.

really? what do you think he's doing w/222 or 444? bet/calling when the only set you can have given your turn check is TTT? no he's 3-betting. then once you 4bet he goes "i can't believe he has TTT this is so sick" and calls. i really don't think that a lower set ever finds a fold here.

this would be true of most not very good players, but then you note that he's bad and loose and you have a very aggro image. then to top it off, he stacks off light for 100 BBs! there's no reason to think he isn't equally bad for more BBs, just nobody's gotten the second nuts versus him 250 BB deep yet so you haven't had a chance to see what he'll stack off with deep but his 100 BB behavior has got to be at least somewhat indicative.

ZOMG... SNAP CALL FIST PUMP! COUNT $$$$!!! BUY NEW CAR!!!!

(seriously, this is a retarded hand... noone is even mentioning that he doesn't reraise a CO raise preflop... yeah he could be flatting queens out of the blinds to a cutoff raise, but it HAS to lower the probability that he even has queens in the first place. Not to mention all the other reasons FWF gave... soooooo)

ZOMG ask if you can put 548$ more on the table to cover plz!

Re: Very deep rivered 2nd nuts 10/20

Time down, push. Booth for metagam, its too tight calling here, and if he is bluffing you dont reveal your hand, and you max value vs lower sets/top2, he will never fold em, just putting you on Q10 and make crying call.

You said he was bad, and just calling is leaving to much money on the table.

I am going to take a stab, and say that he tabled QQ ...and you are now attempting to understand/make sense of his play here

If NOT ..it really is a ludicrous post,as you ALREADY know what 99% of the responses will be anyway?

This is obvious shove. Im not sure what theres even an debate here. Only 3 hand combos above you.

Re: Very deep rivered 2nd nuts 10/20

If he slowed Queens he might lead turn the way you describe him. Your not really super deep
But your hand is definitely killing him more than 90% of time here
so stacking is +EV for sure IMO
why wouldnt you stack
he can play anything this way
Not just QQ

Re: Very deep rivered 2nd nuts 10/20

Personally, I think if you're not prepared to get it in for 200BB's w/ the 2nd nuts against a fish when you have made your hand in a deceptive manner, you are going to be waiting for a VERY long time to get all in. I would shove 100.00% of the time and I am a nit 200BB deep.

If he really had QQ you're just being results orientated. If he didn't have QQ and you think it's an interesting spot, it's only really interesting against a thinking player.

Re: Very deep rivered 2nd nuts 10/20

shove. it sucks if he has qq, but you will be looked up by 44/77 often enough for shoving to be profitable. is there something about this situation that makes the decision close?

nice one HEK, that really stings.

I was actually surprised to see this before I get the typical text message or IM from El D where he points me to some hilarious HEK thread/comment that seems to defy all sense of logic. What on earth is going through your head when you post this hand? What are you expecting to see? Guess you never bothered to think about that.

I guess I'll have to send the text message this time...
