The Descent
 

has anyone here seen this film? it got a 7.4 on IMDB but i'm ~40 minutes in and it seems to suck so far. for those who've seen it, should i continue?

It's pretty bad imo, but iirc there was a bunch of people on here who enjoyed it. There's already a thread on it, I'll find it in a sec.

i enjoyed it and i dont like horror films. it will be more of the same though.

I am a huge horror movie fan, and I thought it was one of the best and scariest horror movies I have ever seen. Easily the best of the last couple of years. I saw it in a theater though and have a bit of claustrophobia which could have contributed I guess.

I am a big horror fan and I enjoyed The Descent immensely. I'd love to discuss it a bit, if anyone is interested - should that go in the old thread or this one or what...?

I thought it sucked complete ass. I was excited to see it to because I like horror movies and I had heard nothign but good things about it. It was so stupid tho that I spent the last half hour just laughing my ass off at how dumb it was. Which sometimes isnt a bad thing, but when you hear that this horror movie is actually supposed to be good, its a big letdown.

Regardless, its probably the kind of movie thats much worse at home instead of at the theater.

ok i finished it, i don't understand the ending, but it was entertaining to see them kill some of the monsters.

overall though, utter trash IMHO. it didn't even really start until the 50 minute mark.
