1/2 Turned Set w/ 77

Just moved up yesterday, today I got myself into this mess.

Hero checks, CO bets $122, Hero raises to $266.5

Bet more on flop and...

(results and my thoughts in white)

Villain had Ks5s for the rivered flush. His line really confused me (pf call, float, minraise? wtf), and I thought there was value in shoving river because I'm not used to fd's making that turn minraise. Is it remotely standard at 1/2? Is the river as spewy as it looks to me now? Was there a better line for me to take?

Turn call is horrible. Big raise or push is only option. You're OOP & so many horrible cards could fall for you on river.
While looking at hand the turn min raise did look to me as if he had a pair + flush draw. While probably not standard, it's certainly not uncommon at NL200.

As played, I would just call the river after you checked.

I assumed we were too deep for a shove so I could cr river- there aren't many scare cards for me at this point and I thought it got more value out of marginal hands making a play. Why was this wrong (obv resultswise this was very wrong, but I'd like to hear it in more theoretical terms)

edit: ty arthur you basically answered my question before I asked it

As far as not c/r river all in. He's thrown out a large bet, shows me he's got the goods or it's a bluff, so you're obv. not getting called if he's bluffing so I don't see many lesser hands paying you off on this river.

That turn min-raise would open my eyes to him picking up a F/D or OESD in addition to a pair so like I said before there are many cards I wouldn't want to see on the river especially like the 5 of spades.
That's why you want to get as much in the pot as possible on the turn. Makes the river simple to play if you had done that.
