Where to Stay in Vegas

I've been traveling around the country, and I'm generally very disappointed with the "Extended Stay" type of properties. They usually want anywhere from $350 to $600 a week, which is outrageous considering you can usually find comparable lodging for $200-$250 a week.

All I require are a microwave, fridge, wireless internet and a safe area.

I got good advice here about a place to stay in Phoenix for less than half the price of the Extended Stay six blocks away. It was a newer building, clean and safe. What more can you ask? (Intown Suites in Mesa $220 a week--16 mile commute to Casino Arizona.)

Now I need a place to stay in Vegas. I know the tournament is coming up in June, and I'm thinking that if I get there early it will be easier. If I wait until tournament time, it could be a lot harder. Either way If I can't find reasonable accommodations, I'm going to pass.

I'll be driving, so a short commute is no problem.

Any suggestion? Thanks in advance.

Nobody here has ever been to Vegas, huh?

Search the archives. This is a common topic.

Also, are you looking for long term or short term accomodations?

Bumping of threads is not cool. If your topic was interesting, or not discussed multiple times each week you might have gotten an answer. Next time please see if there are any other active threads first, and don't bump your thread. Thanks.
