How often does an NBA game push?
 

I can't find a site that has this and other stats like it. There is a one point middle available on the Clippers/Rockets game right now and I was wondering if that's worth betting at -110 on each side. I'm already on the Clippers so I would probably be shading the bet in that direction.

I've pushed probably < 1% in my entire sports betting career, not sure if you can find push stats since they're so infrequent...

Pretty sure you need at least 1.5 points to think about middling at -110, with exceptions of course such as 2.5/3.5 in football, etc. Would be interested to see other responses though.

You need 1.5 pts to make it +EV. 1 point makes it about the equivalent of a -1 or -2 cent arb.

Thanks for the response guys, that's exactly what I was looking for. I didn't hose myself too bad then because I'm also trying to clear a bonus at one of the books. In the future I will look for at least 1.5. Would you say that holds true for NBA totals as well?

I would assume you need considerably more for totals.

For totals about 2 pts is neutral ev, need 2.5 pts to make it +ev.
