I wasnt sure here. If i pot this and he calls and another diamond falls id be a bit lost and the pot would be 100. I was hoping to be called by KK - JJ with one diamond. Obviously i wouldnt mind a fold either.....This ok?????

Bet the pot on the flop and then push the turn.

I think youre losing value by pushing, although I am fairly sure as you said JJ-KK will probably come along.

Just bet like 35 on the flop and push a non-diamond turn. It's not like you'll be pot committed if a diamond falls. With your overbet the only hand that usually calls is a made flush. Not a profitable play.

Re: AA 200 NL mono fl

I think the push loses a lot of value...As played the ONLY hand I can see calling our push here is a poorly played KK w/the K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img](unlikely since they would've most likely gotten AI PF) a set and of course a made flush..Make about 3/4 pot bet on flop and re evaluate on turn...A normal flop bet will get paid by many worse hands and give incorrect odds to lone [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] and give us a chance to get away from the hand should we be behind..The mono flop is most likely just as scary to him as it is to you..

only hands that call beat you, blah blah blah.

you play this like you are on a short roll.

Imo this is pretty spewish. With the ace of diamods, sure go ahead but not here. He will only call you when you are crushed. Pot it up and fold if he comes over the top.

PF raise is a bit low, CO has odds to chase a set with any PP here.
