Not so crazy 8\'s

Full Tilt 5/10 Hold'em (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

I don't have much in reads; <50 hands on both players. BB is loose & hasn't raised preflop or donked off too much postflop. Button is around 38/15 which is unusual so my guess is he's the 30/20 type.
Sometimes I bet the turn; here I decided to c/f 'cause I'm running bad & they always have it. OK? Easy river bet or no?

Preflop: Hero is SB with 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
3 folds, Button raises, Hero 3-bets, BB calls, Button calls.

Flop: (9.50 SB) J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero bets, BB calls, Button calls.

Turn: (6.25 BB) 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero checks, BB checks, Button checks.

River: (6.25 BB) 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players)

tough spot that can be avoided by betting the turn. that should have been the last money you put in the pot, not any river nonsense.

now that you're here I'm leaning towards a check/fold. it's a thin value bet hoping someone has a six or 77, I think that value is offset by the $ you sometimes save getting a free ride from bb's jack. I doubt btn is calling with AT although I've seen worse.

I really didn't consider c/f as an option. Admittedly it's not too likely anyone is going to bluff 5th street if they didn't take a stab on 4th; but I think it's more likely than anyone checking a Q/J on the turn.

Easy value bet here, you'll get called by a 77/44/33/22/6x/AK. Button's going to value bet TT and 99 at this point anyway, so there's no reason to check.

I agree that betting the turn is usually the line I take. Although it's a tough spot in a 3way pot when your hand's equity is only slightly better than 1/pot size.

Is leading the turn here really standard? OOP with two players who called the flop lead with the QJ?

depends on your opponents. sometimes you can just c/f the turn. If you are unsure you should b/f the turn, and if they call again then c/f the river unless you spike a set.
