Brag: Moving to Vegas

Brag: I'm leaving tomorrow for Vegas

Beat: I have to drive across country by myself and I lost my IPOD

Brag: Its not a vacation; Its a move

I'm moving with my good friend Robert(miami32 on these boards). Would love to meet any other locals from 2p2 sometime. Not sure which casino I'll be frequenting the most just yet....gonna give a bunch of them a try before deciding.

As for the drive, I'm pretty young(turn 25 in two weeks) so I think I can stay alert enough to make it with only one stop. Going to sleep in tomorrow morning, then try to drive around 20 hours, then stop once to sleep, then try to finish out the last 15 hours or so(it says 35 hours on mapquest, but I probably drive a bit faster than average though).

That sounds like an awful idea. Don't drive 20 straight hours.

I agree, break it up, find somewhere interesting to stop. No friends between home and Vegas?

Sounds like a good way to die. Driving that long, you can fall asleep when you don't even think you're tired.

I don't want to sound like John Ratzenberger, but why not take the time to stop at a few points of interest along the way? When you're older and your schedule is not as flexible, you'll wish you'd taken the time to see Little Big Horn and the world's largest ball of yarn.

Buy a new iPod before the trip high roller.
It would suck looking for radio stations every hour for 20 hours.

Good luck in Vegas. Don't spill any boiling oats on yourself.

Driving while low on sleep is pretty much akin to driving drunk.

Don't worry. When I was your age I drove across country twice with no radio(before Ipods) and only did 1 stop each time. Was this smart no but who cares when you are young. I drove through Wisc. at night once and don't remember any of it. BTW it is more fun if you do not have a working gas gauge, trust me on this.
