Driver for hire... what to charge?

Someone has offered me a gig driving her SUV 800 miles so that she can fly but still have her car during an extended vacation.

She has offered to pay expenses, my return flight, "plus whatever else I need," meaning she's looking for me to ask for money for my time, but how much?

The whole ordeal should take about 30 hours, so $300-$500 plus expenses seems fair. Any thoughts?

What kind of relationship you have with this someone is obviously very relevant.

No relationship... I was referred to her by a mutual business acquaintenance. We've never met and have only conversed via e-mail about this opportunity.

$500 plus all reasonable expenses (no 5-star hotels)

So this is going to cost this person about $1300.

She can rent pretty much any kind of loaded SUV she wants for $500. Does her SUV come equipped with a Sybian or something?

why don't you just man up and drive the 800 miles in 15 hours straight.

Reading comprehension goes a long way here. He has to drive 800, probably stay over night, and fly back.
