need to find heroin detox in la

so long story short i need to find a place for a girl i know to go to detox. she has no insurance and no money so i will be paying. if anyone knows about places that are free or gov't subsidized that would be great too.

google doesnt help much because a lot of them look kind of gimmicky and i'd rather send her somewhere that an outside source recommends.

just to be clear i'm not looking for a 30-90 day treatment facility just detox.

any help is much appreciated as the situation is urgent. i have faith in our oot la drug addicts.

also sry no pics - she's very hot when healthy, but she has hep c so...

You do understand opiate addiction, right? This statement makes no sense whatsoever.

uhh yeah - it makes perfect sense. i'm not paying 100k to send her to promises. she has been in multiple rehabs and will ultimately wind up back in some type of longer term setting, but for today or the immediate future i need to get her in somewhere with a bed and meds and medical staff until i can figure out what to do.

thanks for your help though (lol).

I believe he is looking for a place where she can go though withdrawal. I've seen people at the detention centre dealing with the first 24 hours and it is scary.

Dude, I am trying to help. I've been there.

So, you spend the money for 4-5 days in detox, she gets released, stays clean for a bit, then she shoots up, snorts, smokes, or whatever again, and where are you? Exactly where you are today.

That's the way opiate addiction works. I take it this isn't the first time you've seen this pattern, right?

What is your goal with going just detox?

It's very scary. I understand his short-term goal, I think. But what's the point in putting a band-aid on a gaping wound?

yeah i realize she won't get "cured" in a week and that her sobriety will be a daily commitment for the rest of her life etc..

i also realize that often the only solution for chronic relapsers is long term inpatient treatment.

my immediate goal is to buy myself some time until i can find a longer term solution. her family has written her off (for now), but if i am able to help her at least get headed in the right direction, then maybe they will get re-involved. mapping out her lifetime sobriety seems a bit ambitious for a friday afternoon.
