Vote for Hilary = a Vote for Bill?
How cool would it be to have Bill Clinton back in the White House! Do you think he would actually live there and hang out in the oval office in his slippers and robe, listening in to Hilary's speaker phone conversations, telling her what to say to Kim Jong Il with his facial expressions?

I think you've perfectly captured the essence of why the president must be a man.

I think you've perfectly captured the essence of why the president must not be a former president's spouse. [/ QUOTE ] |

What I find ironic is when he was first elected the buzz around my campus was that SHE was really running things and now the roles are reversed there's buzz that HE will be in charge. Sweet.

I really don't think there is all this animosity between them and I'm sure she realizes how brilliant and effective he could be, so as long as he stays in the background, her legacy will be all the better.
I'm still in favor of giving him an official position. |

She wants the glory and I don't think she wants her run to be tainted by people saying that she was taking marching orders from her husband. |
Re: Vote for Hilary = a Vote for Bill?
It's obvious to them that his legacy could cause issues, and they are sensitive to that. I really don't think he will have any official capacity in the cabinet because of this. If she is elected, I'd imagine he'd continue his work with NGOs and try to limit his face time in the White House entirely.
Remember back to when Bill ran against Bush 41, they had that whole "two for the price of one" arguement. If they're smart I doubt they will try that silliness again |
