Good or bad bet?

So I just made a bet with my roommate. $250-$25.
The bet is he can only eat celery for 1 week.
He can drink basic juices (orange, cranberry, apple, no shakes or smmothies).
He can take a multi-vitamin and calcium pill each morning.
He can drink booze with approved juices. He can drink beer. He can smoke. He can also drink water.
Good or bad bet?
What might make this a bad bet for me is I gave him a 24 hour opt out. It starts Sunday at midnight, so he can opt out Monday night.

Edit: Yes I've been drinking a lot, and yes I type well even when I drink.

I'd take this bet in a heartbeat if I was your friend

you pay 250 if he wins, he pays 25 if he loses? sounds bad, maybe 250-125 would be worth it, but eating 1 food with unlimited liquids seems ridic easy for a week

I really think this bet will end by Monday night. The 24 hour opt makes it slightly favorable to him. Someone here said that celery is a negative calorie food (you use more calories chewing and digesting than you get from it) anyone know if that's true or false? Anyways I'm off to 6th street. I'll check this tomorrow morning to see what everyone thinks.

its definitely doable on his part, but i think that there's little chance he'll have the discipline to actually do it. will he be honest if he loses?

I think it's a good bet without the juice.

I'm not concerned about him cheating.
Keep in mind he's got to be a professional engineer who deals with customers all day long. So it's not like he can sit on the couch and watch TV if he's feeling bad.

Sounds like an ulcer is a brewing. Celery has absolutely nothing it, I wouldn't be surprised if he dies by the end of the week.
