AA in the BB

satellite to WSOP, youre chip leader with 31k, 2d has 21k (not in the hand), button has 11k. 50/250/500. 8 players so 1150 in the pot.

folded to button who raises to 2k. Hes been aggressive pre flop and not called down. Might have stolen blinds a couple of rounds before.

Slowplay or reraise with that kind of chip lead?

16 left in the tourney...12k is average stack.

Far enough...
I re-raise too 11-12K and see if he's got enough of a hand to call - any raise smaller than that smells of a value bet too much. Push represents AK (or a bluff TRYING to represent AK), which will fold worse Aces but may elicit a call from pocket pairs / AK. Maybe from an overly optimistic AQs...

That's what I'd do. I slowplay Aces preflop, like, almost never...

that puts him all in. I reraised around 3k and he folded anyway. a round or so later when im up to 45k and hes up to around 16 he minraises from the button, i call with K6. wind up with two pair, he has the set of Ks. Arrrrrggggggg lol. Next hand i lose another half my stack..still alive wiht 9 to go though

What do you make of his 4xBB raise? Some players this means they have a fairly strong hand and will call a push but others are just trying to scare you out. If you think the latter is more likely you should slowplay, if the first is more likely go for the push. In this case it's probably a good time for a slowplay given how aggressive he seems.

I think you should either call or shove. I would probably call some of the time and shove some of the time. There's a good chance he's stealing, so you won't get any more out of him with a reraise. You will very likely get a c-bet out of him (probably close to 3k) if you flat call, and if he catches top pair he may go all the way. I have been flatcalling here more and more with good results.

Where was it that I heard that 76.2% of statistics were made up on-the-spot?

Read Foucault's 1000th post - it directly explains WHY puting him all-in is a good move in this spot (and slow-playing is, probably, not...)
