50/100 A hi value bet?

First hand at table. CO open raises, I call in BB with AKo (mix it up somewhat here). Flop is Q84 with 2 hearts (I have King hearts). This is an ugly enough flop that I just check call. I'm planning to c/c most turns and c/f river ui.

Turn is 2 off suit, check check.

River is a Queen, I bet for value.

I think so too. We are pretty much always ahead and call a river bet anyway.
The only time we loose value by checking the river is when villain bluffbets Khi- hands he folds to a raise but there is not too many in his range. Another problem is that we may get bluff-raised from time to time but I think this won`t happen often enough to miss a bet.

Isnt a river raise so strange here that we have to call it?

I don't like your plan to call the turn if he fires again but this particular hand is, IMO, well played.
Why not bet the flop? I don't think it's so ugly in a HU situation.

Edited

Some players choose to play TP or a set like this.
I think the pot is too small to call a raise.

A lot of players choose to play trips like this. I think the pot is too small to call a raise.

he doesnt have trips until the river

edit: dean, your line is really really bad theory-wise. of all the lines you could have taken, this is the worst
