Battling a Preflop Maniac

Some History: 5/5 NL 300-500 buyin. Villian has been making huge 3bets every halfhour or so in spots that dont make sense for him having huge hands. Like, overlimping in MP and then 3betting huge once a LP or blind makes a raise. We only saw his hand once, the first time he made a big 3bet.
Villian is in BB, a few limpers, Hero is on button with JQs raises to 25, SB calls, Villian raises to 150. folded around, Hero folds, SB goes allin for 200 total. Villian shows Q3 and wins against 88 on a QQA45 board.

Now a few hours later, I am deepstacked and so is the villian. He has about 1200 and I cover. He has been making allin shoves preflop on limped pots or on raised pots.
This hand comes up: 2 limpers, and action to button who
has 9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]9 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] and makes it 25 to go. Villian in BB shoves allin 1200. What is my range for a call. I felt like even if he was making a move, he most likely has two overs, (JQ or something). I felt like I would call with AK, JJ+. Is this too tight of a range against this villian.

You cant take this into consideration becasue it was after my
9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]9 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] hand but he did the same thing later and got called with K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
and he showed 5 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]5 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].

This belongs in SSNL. Wait for a good hand. Flop the nuts. Stack him. Don't throw away big stacks with marginal hands.

I would let this go. It sucks because you might have him crushed, but you've invested very little so far, and you really don't want to run a $2400 coin flip, right? Let him keep running you over when you've put in $20 with marginal hands, and if he's playing a long session with you and doing this throughout, there's a fair chance he's going to let you felt him when you have AA/KK/QQ/AK.

Just silently grind your teeth and be patient. Oh, and call for service and offer to buy him a drink, or whatever else you can do to make this guy feel comfortable.

I think if you had like 100BBīs you could call and roll the dice if you want.
But with these deep stacks I just donīt think itīs worth risking all your money in this marginal spot.

I agree with the first quote above, and the 2nd quote is over simplifying the situation. If we didnt care about variance and the fact that if we get stacked we no longer have deep stack benefits against the table, then we should call with any +EV situation. The reply above is correct that I dont want a $2400 coin flip, but if I was guarenteed that he just had two overs, I might take the flip (which is really approx. 51%), would you? Calling profitably without regards to variance would be at the inflection point of -EV to +EV. But being a 51% favorite may not be enough to justify the variance and overall stress of a call. This is a cash game where we dont need to look for the most profitable situation. With this guy we cant just sit back and wait. He could easily leave or get stacked before we get a good spot, (he did get stacked). Would anyone call in this spot with 99? I believe our overall equity against his range is above 50% but I wansnt willing to call. The house edge in Blackjack is only a about 2% ( i could be off slightly), but the point is that casinos make tons of money on small edges, so should I be willing to call him with 99 for $2400 pot, if I believe I am slightly +EV against his range. lets say specifically I know he ahs JQo, does anyone call here? What hands would you call with?
