Tips/advice for changing up my style

I've only been playing cash games for a few months, after being just a tourney donk . Since then i've been a huge nit, like 13/10 . THe past week or so, i've made a concerted effort to loosen up my game, but with that comes many more postflop decisions. Since I'm used to being nitty, I've been having trouble making some of them. Unfortunately, my changing gears has coincided with my worst downswing ever, so I can't really look at my last weeks results and evaluate them well, but i've been having a rough time so far.

what words of advice or whatever would you give a past-nit who has been playing 20/16 for the past week?

Thanks in advance,

Matt/1gotth3nuts

slowly add more hands to you're playing range instead of a bunch all at the same time.

Droping down to 25nl an raising to 3bb + 1bb for each limper worked for me. I ran at something like 42/38 when my usual style was 16/11. Now I play 21/18 or so.

perhaps an example hand of where you got lost playing a hand you are not accustomed to playing postflop?

when you think villain will fold or call, depending on whether you're trying to take it down or build a pot for showdown. i know poker is a game of incomplete information, but come on... specific questions get specific answers

if you want to get your vpip/pfr numbers up, you could always start raising in MP/LP with suited connectors.

hahaha i have no problem getting my numbers up, but i want to play profitably. obv, its more important to win money than to have nice preflop numbers.

Re: Tips/advice for changing up my style

cbet hand 1, fold in hand 2. Bet 70% PSB if theres no fd on the flop. Bet 80% PSB if there is a fd on flop. You have to make real looking cbets along with real bets. Cbet 1 high card flops into multiple opponents as PFR. You can cbet 100% of flops against 1 opponent. You could check on coordinated flops that don't look like they hit you. I.E 456 etc. You are likely to get played back/floated on these type flops.
