cp 30

stopped into my local card room to play a couple of hours of poker after work and this hand came up...

MP villian was schneids and the LP villian was someone i dont know ( seemed to be playing stright poker for the most part)
this hand came up abt 20-30 min into my seesion (maybe?)

schneids opens in MP, button cold calls, i call in the bb with QTo.

flop comes T7x ... i check, MP bets, BT calls, i c/r, schneids 3b and now the button 4 bets? we both call.

turn was a J i believe and it checks around?

river is a blank and it checks around again?

just wondering what ppl think abt calling 2 cold on the flop and then not betting the river?

thanks

How about if we talk about the preflop call instead? I see domination in one's future with a hand like QTo after an expert openraises in MP and an ABC player coldcalls on the button.

It would take an act of God for me to fold this hand preflop.

A note regarding the hand you didn't mention was it was ~6 handed game, so my MP raise is UTG+1 and I believe the other guy called from the button. It was approx that anyway.

Also, when you were saying the red head to my left looked familiar from somewhere, he is Bicyclekick from 2p2. Maybe you recognize him cuz of that somehow?

Was there a flush draw on the flop? I can't figure out what this guy would call/cap w/that he wouldn't bet on the turn. The river might be a bet fold, but I don't want to give schneids a chance to outplay me here so I would cc here

I dont think Schneids would try to make GBL fold the river for 1bet.

I think the flop is the street that needs the most discussion here.

The river IMO is an easy check as I doubt you are winning this hand very often. When the button checks the turn I narrow his range to TPTK(on the flop) and a slightly discounted two pair concerned about the draw coming in for Hero. Schneids can't bet the river because he is either holding AK,TP or an overpair that may still be behind buttons hand. When button checks the river I'd be surprised to see a lost value bet with two pair as I think it's obvious that would be the best hand. I expect him to turn over AT that obviously can't bet agaisnt Schneids possible overpair.

Going back to the flop and calling two cold. I think it's fairly close, but I don't know how this game plays. In my games I could probably fold.

I reallylreallyelrelaallllyyy doubt Schneids is checking a better hand than QT here.Button's play makes no sense on any street except probably the river.

I can't bet the river with your hand.

I dont think we should bet the river either. What is more interesting is if it gets checked back to the button on the river and he bets, should you call?
