god that was bad. How do these coaches make so much money again?

BobJoeJim 12-01-2007 09:11 PM

Re: Week 14 non-title NCAAF games

Announcers are dead on about not spiking the ball being F-ING DUMB!

*Sigh*

Overtime now, huh. I'm not really sure I can take much more of this.

Re: Week 14 non-title NCAAF games

OSU-Oregon end is a total abortion. Both of these coaches shouldn't even keep their jobs for the overtime. What a total joke.

This game will be in the Christmas top 10 games show on ESPN

Re: Week 14 non-title NCAAF games

Bellotti told him to spike it, not bad coaching, it was on Roper for not doing what he was told to do.

Replay showed Bellotti telling Roper to spike it. He was under center as well and the kicker told him to drop back.

That whole thing was on big cluster [censored].

Re: Week 14 non-title NCAAF games

Sklansky needs to spend less time coming up with complex 2 point conversion math models and more time watching games to realize that coaches can't even work simple end of game situations correctly and it's all a waste of time. From wasting a timeout before the first kick to the non-spike, that was just horrible all around.

Austiger 12-01-2007 09:18 PM

Re: Week 14 non-title NCAAF games

Why was the FG kicker even on the field if you're going to spike it? That is on the coaches.

I've thought coaches should have another assistant---Game/clock management assistant

OSU should just go for it on fourth.

PITT!!!!!!!

Re: Week 14 non-title NCAAF games

Injury problems? Nonsense! I mean sure we lost our four best QBs, but one of our two best running backs wasn't injured so badly that he couldn't play through it (albeit much less effectively). And only four of our top six wide receivers got hurt. And our defense was nearly unscathed, except for that starting middle linebacker...

Nah, no injury problems there.

the funny thing is I heard the media talking about SC's injuries and how they could easily be 12-0 without it and all I could think is, "yeah, SC had injuries but Oregon's story this year puts them to shame."

Agreed. I firmly believe Oregon was the best team in the country this year otherwise.

Does anyone else laugh every time they remember WVU backup is named Brown? It always makes me smile for some reason. Probably racist ldo.

Re: Week 14 non-title NCAAF games

Late hit penalty on Pitt just cost them a TD

WTF WTF WTF

Edit: Ridiculously bad call, maybe the Big East wants a team in the title game?

BobJoeJim 12-01-2007 10:05 PM

Re: Week 14 non-title NCAAF games

With that TD and WVU's history of struggling in the first half before blowing out bad opposition this is still in the "silly question" category, but IF Pitt somehow pulls off the upset and Oklahoma knocks off Missouri... who do you see playing Ohio State in the title game?

This was suck a [censored] joke. Between that and the touchdown that wasn't called a touchdown, it sure seemed like the refs were trying to hand the game to Oregon.

it will likely be UGA since it's been awhile since they lost

should be a huge argument between Kansas, USC, LSU, UGA, Oklahoma

Re: Week 14 non-title NCAAF games

I was just browsing scores as I have not had any interest in any games today I noticed that FIU is beating North Texas. They have been on one hell of a losing streak and would be nice for them to snap that on the last game of the year. But the reason I bring it up is, it's the last game ever in the Orange Bowl(right? because the Orange Bowl game is played at Dolphin Stadium now...right?). I figure there is some significance in the game at least.

Carpenter barely gets away with that shovel pass again, but doesn't get the TD this time...should've been a pick

Just as an aside: Stanford 20, Cal 10 at the end of the third quarter.
