Connecting doesnt work and also the Bodog Website is not available. Is Bodog down?

And another Question. Is it possible to play more than 3 tables on Bodog?

bodog is working fine for me right now, and no, it is not possible to have more than 3 tables at a time

I can't log on. Called customer service, they said that Comcast users were having problems, doesn't help me as I don't use Comcast.

My cable company isn't comcast either.
Maybe the one I'm on is some division of comcast or something weird.

I was able to get onto some other divisions of bodog though like bodogfight and bodogmusic, etc.

that info helped me though.
Can't get on via regular hi-speed internet connection.

But I just popped in my Verizon Broadband-Access wireless card for an alternative connection and was able to get onto bodog just fine.

So it seems that their claim that it depends on your internet-connection somehow is valid...perhaps being blocked by comcast and other carriers or something.

I disbled (temporarily)my firewall (no change), and even restored my computer settings to earlier date (also no effect).

Sounds like trouble. Comcast reps had no answers.

I'm from Germany and can't get onto Bodog also. That's most likely not some comcast problem.

I don't know what the angle hinting is.

Somebody else said they called bodog and was told it was a comcast thing. I just assumed that there was a chance this was at least partly correct.


I can't get to bodog when connected via my regular internet connection at home.
But plug in my verizon-wireless card for a completely different connection and I was able to get on Bodog just fine.

Other than the fact that I can get on via one connection but not via the other I really don't know what the hell is going on.

Still down for me. I have checked from multiple sources and none of them connect (website or client).

ME or my friend cant get on also. My friend called and they told him that "bodog has been cutoff from U.S players by being blocked through U.S servers." "bodog says its server is up and running and it being blocked on U.S end"

Does anyone know is this possible?...

I played there from about 7:30 to 8 p.m. eastern time with no problems. The tables were sort of empty, but there were several low limit tables in omaha.

I've got Comcast, receiving error 217 as well. It's strange that bodog.tv and bodogfight.com works.

I called up Customer service and they said it isn't the ISPs causing it, it's just something on their end.

Still kinda scary...

www.bodog.ca works as well, but I can't login as it redirects to www.bodog.net, which is not resolving.

Well, I've never tried it before, but .ca redirecting might be standard...Bodog doesn't let Canadians play poker there. [img]/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img]

OK I JUST SET UP MY ACCOUNT FOR THIS REASON, I AM IN NY I ALSO USE OPTIMUM ONLINE. WHEN I TRY TO SEND THEM AN EMAIL IT FAILED BECAUSE OF "Reason: Illegal host/domain name found" WHEN I TRY TO SEND EMAIL TO FICTIONAL NONEXISTANT YAHOO.COM ACCOUNT IT SAYS. I got the feeling from their e-mail that they either have not identified the problem or have identified it and it's not something they want to share with us yet. This idea though that ISPs have cut Bodog off seems ridiculous.

From a technical standpoint, it looks like www.bodog.com, .net, etc are not resolving. It is likely that they are having DNS issues that would create the same issues you are experiencing. You are trying to send email to a domain (bodog.xxx) that it (your outbound mail server) can not resolve.

It really looks like a DNS issue to me.

IF YOU ARE HAVING A PROBLEM WITH BODOG YOU SHOULD READ THE POST NISS MADE ABOVE AND IF IT IS TECHNICAL HELP YOU ARE LOOKING FOR, I SUGGEST YOU POST IN THE COMPUTER TECHNICAL HELP FORUM RATHER THAN IN THIS THREAD ABOUT BODOG.

Yeah, I'm trying to play on my laptop. Unfortunately my roomate can't get to a table using his desktop either. Weird.

THANKS, I JUST TRIED CALLING BODOG, AND THEY WERE VERY VAGUE ABOUT THE ISSUE BUT THEY SAID "IT WAS MORE SERIOUS THAN WE INITIALLY THAUGHT" THEY WILL "DEFINATELY BE BACK UP AND RUNNING IN THE MORNING, IF NOT IN A FEW HOURS".
