Very stupid question

what is the best way (site i guess?) to get some money for free to start a bankroll? a friend gave me a dollar twice and both times i ended up building myself to 20 but lost it all both times and i wanted to try to give it another go.

if anyone has any advice i'd be glad to hear it

Re: Very stupid question

You should search for sites that have no deposit bonuses. There are many for non-us residents; however, I know of some us sites that offer this kind-of bonus for us players.
Google "No deposit bonus."

Im sure i got free $25 from Victor Chandler just for opening an account with them without depositing. This was about a year ago so im not sure now but its worth a shot. Good luck.

Re: Very stupid question

It was at least 2-3 years ago now but I got a free $25 from PowerPlayer just for opening an account without depositing. I ran that up to $4k within just a couple or three months, four months max and all from that initial free $25 because I never made a deposit.

It was when they were a brand new site, I believe, I don't know what the deal was. Used to play about 6-7 tables there at a time, mostly $50-100 or $100-200 PL I think is where I liked hanging out the most and knew regular players there. But did it also just to build up the player points, I forget what they called them but every month I'd get another $500 up to I think about $800 or so just for having accumulated so many points. I cashed out $1k once and at another time a few hundred but then like the moron newbie I was (and probably still am, to an extent), I went nutzoid one day and stupidly sat at some high stakes limit game-- I guess I just wanted to see how fast I could lose my money-- LOL. It didn't seem real, it was like playing fake money games. I guess because it was all "free money" to me, I didn't really "get" it until I actually got a check for that first $1k I had cashed out.

That's been my only experience with online poker so I stick with casinos now.
