Posting once every 20 seconds?
 

Is this and old rule or a new rule? I went to go start a thread right after I responded to another and I got this warning saying I couldn't I assume it's to "prevent" spammers.

Maybe I just never saw it before...

Real spammers are capable of putting down way more than 3 posts a minute, so I doubt it.

I think it only happens with starting new threads and not with posting? So you can't post and then immediately start a new thread or start a new thread and then immediately start a new thread, I think.

Chuck may have turned up the flood settings after the rash of spammers we've had.

The flood check has been 20 seconds for a while. I considered making it closer to a minute after the recent spammer, but we'll see how it goes.

in pog we often play games that you have to be able to post more than once in 20 seconds

Stuff like that is why I've held back from making it longer. I don't want regular users to be too inconvenienced by the measures taken against those who cause problems.

StarForce comes to mind.

I mean I been posting awhile but I usually don't try to post 2 topics right in a row I just happen to do it or try to do it today.

I'm suprised high volume posters never really complained about it
