Leaving for vegas on Sunday best 2/5 nl game in town

This is a vegas first for me.

Any recommendations for the best 2/5 games, what should I expect as far as play goes. Also what type of B/R should I bring for that game?

Bellagio $200-500 buy-in is always a great game. Lots of table selection. If the game gets too nit-ass tight, make a move.

Not knowing how many days your planning on, I would never suggest anything less than 10 buy-ins for say a 3 day weekend. And even then that could be short. It depends as per usual. We never think we "need" that much, but all it takes is a couple bad plays or huge suckouts and suddenly we're hitting the atm.

I think 10 buyins for a three-day weekend might be a little much. Probably can get by with a little bit less.

playing live on a 10 buy in roll below 10/20 is completely standard imo

I think having 10 buyins + is a great idea. All I'm saying is that, if OP is in Vegas for three days, he probably could get by with 5-7.

But I agree, 10 would be ideal. But I make it a personal rule to never drop more than 2 buyins a day (If I do, it's time for dinner, strip club, nap, pool, Casino War at the Wynn) ... so I usually plan on bringing two buyins per day.

But that's just me.

I'd hate to to go to the expense and trouble of making my first trip to Vegas, only to have to sit on my hands instead of playing because I didn't bring enough money. It's not hard to drop 10 buy-ins if you run bad. This is particularly true in Vegas if you run into a lot of loose players because you're more likely to get sucked out on.

Bellagio 2/5, on Sunday was the biggest rock fest I've ever seen in my life!

-650 first run set over set is fun, had to fold QQ face up twice.

I'll be here for a week if any 2p2'ers want to meet up, going to be grinding and looking at some possible real estate.

Folding QQ face up is pretty dumb

I say go to the Bellagio just because they have the most games running. But if you're a good deepstack player go to the Wynn or Venetian. If you you're a mediocre deepstack player go to Caesar's for the easy money. People stack off w/ TPNK and TPGK instacall off for their whole stack. IMO you def do not need 10 buy ins. A lot of these players play so bad even if they do suck out they allow you to lose the minimum. i.e. checking the turn and making small river bets w/ the nuts. Just avoid a lot of marginal flips for big pots. i.e. raising on draws or playing big pots w/ TP. Most of the players may give you free cards anyways and pay you off if you hit.
