Whatsatoomany? 40 live

40 live

A commerce, Asian, super fish who plays 83.7% of his hands, limps UTG.

I raise the black AA, blinds fold, limper calls, HU.

Flop: 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

He checks, I bet, he c/r, I 3-bet, he 4-bets, I 5-bet planning on 7-betting if need be, you?

I think 7 isatoomany. Super fish who play 80+% of their hands also usually play them passively, and almost no live player goes 6 bets without the nuts, especially in California when they're used to a 4bet cap and you've already 5bet.

it depends a lot on your dynamics. a tight white boy like you might not get more action than an action junkie he is more familiar with.

note: i think the looseness of a player preflop is a bad notation on how he plays since this post (and so many others like it) depend on how loosely/aggressively he plays postflop. for instance, if you told me this guy was capable of being very spewy, that is more indicative of how he plays rather than that he plays 83.7% of his hands.

What is the standard, mayor? 7bets? 9bets? 5bets? Please, since it's so easy, I must have missed it in the rules when I moved into town.

The standard is calling the 4th bet and raising the turn.

Are you raising a diamond on the turn? Calling? You know he needs to bet in order to raise right? Like when he checks the 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] on the turn, you can no longer raise, btw.

Yes, let me check, umm, yeah I think I do know the difference between a bet and a raise.

JT, I don't really care if he bets. If he decides to check and his hand is face up I just use my position and a bet still goes in. The interesting part comes in when he 3 bets your turn raise but the answer to that and the answer to your original question of how many to go on the flop should you choose that line is one the forum probably can't give you. So much will depend on the metagame environment.

From the info you have provided, I think you need to be a little careful. Goofball has it right. Loose passive preflops tend to play the same postflop. Not that likely that he goes 10 bets with a draw like 5d6d since people who don't understand the game aren't thinking about equity stuff. Also he can't have an open ended draw since the flop is A23. Lastly, if you have the flop right and the Ad is on the board it makes it impossible that he has a top pair flush draw hand that he wants to go batshit with. As played I think you should calldown after he 6 bets and get your raise in when you fill since that is how you roll.

a better read would be nice.

fish don't usually go nuts on the flop with the nuts though. he probably has A3 and puts you on AK.

Yeah, they usually go crazy with drawing hands. But it might be 5d-4d here. I'm good for 7 bets on the flop, 3 on the turn. I once had a guy go seven bets with me on a flop with me when I had A-A and the flop was As-7d-6d. He had 5c-4c.

Just a joke. I suppose my only point was that after his 4bet I am still feeling great about my hand, and after his 6bet still feeling pretty good.

Bet and call down. Guys like this seem to like to do this sort of thing on the flop with a draw.

i already know the whole hand and the results and not only did you play it good but there is no debate to how you played it so it's only another trivia thread.
