Re: [200nl] Top pair vs. unknown half-stacker, minraised on flop

I'd fold K9s preflop from MP1. It's an 8-handed table, there are 3 people behind you who will have position on you post flop, even if you make a flush it will not be the nut flush, any top pair hand (Ks or 9s) will likely be donminated or facing an overpair. And if you raise this loose and get callers behind you, then the blinds will have a good reason to reraise light to pull a squeeze play. You can't call a big reraise with K9s, then all the other callers just fold to the blind who raised.

There is no need to play this hand at all.

Occasionally, if I had a hand like K9s in the BB in a multi-way limped pot, then I might make a big semi-bluff raise (as I would for value with AA). But from MP1, just fold.

As played, fold to button's raise. You have a bad position, a weak hand, and virtually no redraws if you are already behind.

Should've never even been in the hand.
