Another baseball trip- this time Edison Field for the playoffs
As of now my plans are to go from NY to LA for games 1 and 2 of the ALDS if the Yanks and Angels play.
My tentative plans are to fly into vegas for a few nights and drive up with a friend of mine who lives there. Going home I would prefer to fly out of LA. Lax is the closest airport correct? When my friend isnt around with his car should I use public transportation or cabs? As far as tickets are they hard to get for the playoffs. I entered the ticket lottery online angels.com- do they usually sell out fast? Do scalped tickets ususally go for a lot above face value (in NYC for the playoffs they usually go for 3-4 times face value) Should i just wait until this matchup is definate and get them from a scalper? Im curious because i dont want to get stuck with tickets in the event these two teams dont play eachother in the first round, but public tickets go onsale a few weeks before we will know for sure (if this happens would it be easy for me just to dump them on ebay?) I saw that the commerce casino is about a half hour away. Is this the best place to play poker (their 5/10 games has 400 max buy in- does anything close allow a 500 dollar buy in in 2/5 or a 1000 dollar buy in for 5/10?) Does commerce have a good poker rate for rooms? All I care about is a place to sleep so if theres something 2 mins away from commerce thats cheap that works as well. Thanks a lot |

You can fly into John Wayne Airport in Costa Mesa; it's like 15 minutes without traffic to Edison.
