Surveys that question ethnicity

A while back I dedcided that I would never again truthfully answer any ethnicity questions that are on any surveys/warranty cards, etc.

My favorite answer, if available, is the eskimo/inuit answer. Otherwise I just randomly pick some obscure race on the form.

I mentioned this to one of my jag-off coworkers (of which I have many) and she went ballistic. Something about messing up demographic statistics and how accurate information is so important full a bunch of bull-hockey reasons, blah blah.

I never thought much of it because that's just marketing crap anyway. That info doesn't go to the government.

So am I the only one who does this? Am I causing some sort of injustice to minorities out there by doing this?

And if not, I encourage everyone else to do this.

I always say I'm a 27 yo American male. It seems young American males get all the breaks in life, so I figure if I say I am, then maybe something good will happen to me.

BTW Punk - it was only very recently that I finally figured out who that chick is in your avatar. She's the only reason I watch FX at all. And what's with that dorky-ass partner of hers?

I hate it when people don't answer surveys truthfully, except when it comes to "race", obviously, which is retarded to ask for in most cases.
