first few hands of the FT. Was I too aggressive here?? This player had been quite the thorn in my side for a while, using a bigger stack to bully me a lot of the time. I thought she would re raise ak, aq or most pockets pre. I thought I had enough respect not to get called pre by q high (hearts) so I thoughy I was good... In fact, in my opinion, that is the one hand she could have had to beat me... Bad play???

the board is pretty dangerous,so its better to lead and not give possible draws a freecall.


If u don not bet the flop i think i would fold to his raise.

There are two reasons I c/r.

This player had been real sticky every single hand having sat to my left the last table also. She called almost every bet and used position very effectively. I c/r to make a statement that I had a strong hand.

Secondly, I truly had a hard time finding a hand that beat me. A8 or A8 were the only two. And on the assumption I had the best hand, I re raised to get more chips in...

Just felt sick st the result seeing as I'm pretty new to MTT's. played thousands (almost) of sngs but MTT's are quite diff to me and wondering was this over zealous

But what am I losing to?? Im 20BB's deep and im 3rd of 9 so everyone is short, whats a shoving hand?

Bet-folding is very bad, given the read. I honestly can't decide what's better - bet/calling or check-raising. I'd generally bet.

bvb with a strong ace and an ace hits, you're just trying to get your chips in the middle. I'd check if I think bb will bet (and you said you felt bb was being a bully before) so I might crai. Of course the risk is bb checking behind and seeing a heart on the turn. I'd lead the flop if I wasn't sure enough that bb bets. Bet/folding to a raise would be horrible, check/folding would be bad also (unless you have a super user account and can see that villain flopped 2 pair).

AJ in bvb is a big hand and you flopped your ace, you can't do anything but try and get all your chips in.

Anyways the hand was pretty straight forward, and aside from being outflopped, the hand played how I would've wanted it to.

with your read the C/R was a good plan. especially since thats great "bully board" just sucks she actually had part of her betting range that beats u.

I think u have to bet here - to get value/protect your hand. You can't rely on BB betting on this board (he's got to hit it/have a heart to bet) if you're intending to c/r AI. If BB doesn't have a heart, a 4th heart on the turn if its checked thru will kill the action and you won't get much value from what is very likely the best hand. If u check the flop to him and he semi-bluffs with a heart, your shove has no FE b/c he's getting about 2.4 to 1 to call, so he can call profitably.
