Play Horrible without Poker Tracker On?

Ok due to Ultimate Bets new software I am not using Poker Tracker because of the maximum hand history update. Therefore I tried playing a few hours without Poker Tracker. I just dropped 6 buyins and played horrible.

I felt like the "camera" wasn't on so I could just do whatever I wanted. Needless to say without Poker Tracker I play much much worse. Has anyone else experienced this phenomenon?

My solution:

Move to Full Tilt and ALWAYS keep Poker Tracker running. I won't play bad if it affects my stats.

Nothing like bronzing a crutch.

What limits? Let me guess they're low-medium stakes. Not possible at competitive stakes.

I play worse without PT myself. I don't look at it so much as a crutch, but a replacement of a real part of the game. Like I said in another thread, I have a tough time remembering players' names and keeping track of who sits down and who leaves the table. In live games I can see it happening and know peoples' faces. I don't have that online.

Strangely, I play better without poker tracker. I have owned the software for about a year now, and have used it on and off. Of course, I can't say how much better monetarily, but I know I'm up more money without PT on than with PT.

I think the reason is that I am overly focused on wins and losses when I'm playing with PT and when I'm not, I simply focus on playing the best poker I can.

Of course, I do play low-medium stakes. However, I have a hard time believing that it would be "impossible" at "competitive" stakes.

Speed, I just signed up to UB, and the HH limit was very disconcerting to say the least.
Do you know if this HH limit will stay and will you no longer play there if it does. Has it been implemented to stop the use of HUD's.

I don't think he was saying it was impossible to win at competetive stakes w/o using PT. It's not. He said it was impossible to go 3.5 years without a losing month at those stakes.

I never really used PT while I was playing. (UB 5-10/10-20) But I'm also used to doing everything manually. I just used PT primarily for my own stats and sometimes to compare my notes with PTs on other players.

Well I started with limit , .25-.50 .5-1.00, then pl and nl holdem, omaha, and omaha8 from $25 to $400. Not sure what "competitive stakes" are in your mind. My highest live is 2-5 $500 nlhe and online 2-4 $400 max.
