Your favorite NON-recurring Seinfeld character...

The great thing about Seinfeld was their ability to bring in unique characters (portrayed flawlessly) to each show.

My personal favorite is Mr. Bookman, the library cop.

This thread is going to be a battle of the Seinfeld nerds. I'm pretty sure Mandelbaum was in two episodes.

Edit: IMDB.

The whole concept of talking in the 3rd person was hysterical, again portrayed brilliantly. So many like this, the Close talker, low talker, high talker, the sidler etc...

Bookman was in 2 episodes, he testified in the finale.

We might need to make an exception for the finale. Otherwise...

I'd say that doesn't count. The marble rye lady was in 2 episodes, plus she testified in the finale.

I am gonna have to back OP up on this one. Bookman was #1 and i dont even think its that close. there were many good random characters over the years, but that episode w Bookman was one of the funniest things ive ever seen on tv.

Bookman is clearly #1, but you've gotta love the video store kid who was sweet-talking Elaine over the telephone.

Bob Odenkirk as a medical intern was pretty hilarious. 'I said I would dump whoever I was with after I finished medical school - that's the dream of becoming a doctor'.

The mechanic at the dealership constantly eating George's Twix.

I think Kevin, Gene, Feldman, and Vargas (Bizarro Jerry, George, Kramer, and Newman) only appear in one episode?

The guys from the Astros' front office who call each other bastard and son-of-a-bitch all the time.

Kramer's intern.

Newman was banging her, IIRC - Sylvio, played by Jon Polito (Coen brothers regular).

Jerrys friend from college who can't say no to anything he suggests is pretty great. He was in the Kenny rogers roasters ep. Also, I doubt it counts but Jerrys H.G. Penny Packer ( I think.) persona.

hahaha

Nevermind.

The postal worker Kramer feuds with in the India episode takes it.

Hpothetical:

Starting in the Fall, the entire main cast of Seinfeld (Jerry, George, Elaine, Kramer) and most smaller parts (parents, Newman, etc.) as well as the writers, sign on to resurrect Seinfeld. The story picks up right where it left off, after they finish their prison terms from the finale (shudder).

Could they make it work?

Would it become a hit again?

Would you watch?

yes , i think

yes, i think

yes, i think

It really just depends on the writers and cast I think. I believe they went out on top, and rarely had a bad episode, if they can keep things going like it was, I think it be just as popular as before.
