In July 2005, Vick was arrested for speeding, and police found marijuana in his car. He pleaded guilty to reckless driving and no contest to possession of marijuana.

When the school announced Vick's semester-long suspension last year, Virginia Tech President Charles M. Steger said if Vick faced additional off-field troubles, "his Virginia Tech career is effectively ended."

Virginia Tech has called an 11 a.m. news conference Saturday to address the incident at the Gator Bowl involving Vick. The school said University President Charles Steger, Director of Athletics Jim Weaver and Beamer will take part in the news conference.

I don't know why but I am always suprized when athletes of his skill level and potential keep throwing away their chance at being great. It should not be a big deal any more, but every time it boggles my mind.

Many of these very talented, very troubled types come from homes where the only things stressed to them were

"Be good at sports, make lots of money"

which is the recipe for raising a socially retarded person.
